¶ The purpose
This wiki is intended to be semi-unstructured knowledge base for SMALL notes on specific topics.
Rules:
- If the note is more than 350 words, its two notes.
- If you need to define something in your notes (i.e. you mention an alpha particle) create a new note to that topic and link to it. DONT REPEAT YOURSELF.

Internal radiation hazards from dust are generally because of high energy alpha radiation depositing a high charge denisty into the cells of the lungs.
beta radiation plays a much smaller part in internal dose from inhalted radioactive material.
